About This Tool

Organize PDF lets you change the order of the pages in a PDF. Each page appears as a thumbnail that you can drag to a new position or move with its arrow buttons; you can also duplicate or delete pages, or reverse the whole order. Apply Changes then builds a new copy in that sequence.

Duplicate places a copy straight after the page you chose, which is handy for a separator or cover page that has to appear twice. Delete is unavailable once a single page is left, and Reset Order puts every page back in its original position, including any you removed or copied. There is no step-by-step undo, so Reset Order is the way back if you lose track. Thumbnails are drawn for the first 100 pages; later pages show as numbered tiles and can still be moved.

The output is a new document assembled from copies of your pages. Content is unchanged, but the original bookmarks and properties such as title and author are not carried over. Pages are copied one at a time, so fonts and images that several pages share can be stored more than once, and the new file may be larger than the original; Compress PDF can bring it down again. The copy downloads with _organized added to its name. Turning pages is a separate job for Rotate PDF.

The file is reordered inside your browser tab and is not uploaded. If you are correcting the page sequence of a scanned report or record, check the final order and page count against the original before the copy goes anywhere: the reordered file is a new file, not an amendment of the controlled original.

How to Use

  1. Add your PDF

Drop one PDF on the upload area or click to browse. Page thumbnails load underneath.

  2. Rearrange the pages

Drag a thumbnail to a new place, or use its up and down arrows. Reverse Order flips the whole sequence in one click.

  3. Duplicate or remove pages

Use Duplicate to insert a copy after a page and Delete to take a page out. Reset Order restores the original sequence.

  4. Apply and download

Click Apply Changes, wait for the success message, then use the download button to save the reorganised copy.

Use Cases

Fix a mis-fed scan

Put pages back in sequence when a document feeder pulled two sheets out of order or a stack was scanned back to front.

Move an appendix

Bring a summary table forward or push a glossary to the end before a report goes out for comment.

Repeat a separator page

Duplicate a section divider or blank form page so it appears in every place the pack needs it.

Drop stray pages while sorting

Remove a duplicate scan or an empty sheet in the same pass as reordering, without opening another tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I undo a change?

There is no step-by-step undo. Reset Order returns the pages to their original sequence and brings back any you deleted or duplicated, so you can start again from the beginning.

Can I rotate pages in this tool?

No, it changes order only. Turn pages with the Rotate PDF tool, before or after you reorganise them.

Why is the reorganised file larger than the original?

Pages are copied one by one into a new document, so resources several pages share, such as an embedded font or a logo, can end up stored more than once. If size matters, run the result through Compress PDF.

Are bookmarks and document properties kept?

No. The new file contains your pages in the new order but not the original outline or properties such as title and author. Add them again with Edit Bookmarks and Edit Metadata if you need them.

Can I organise pages from more than one PDF?

The tool takes one file. Combine the documents first with Merge PDF, then reorder the merged file here.

Does it open password-protected PDFs?

An encrypted file will not process. Remove the password with Decrypt PDF first; you need to know it.
